How Drug Works
This medicine causes smooth muscle in the penis to relax, increasing blood flow to the penis.
How Taken
Take this medicine 1 hour before sexual activity. The manufacturer mentions an acceptable range of one half hour to four hours that the medicine can be taken before sexual activity. Follow the directions given to you by your doctor.

Drug Interactions
NITRATES SHOULD NEVER BE COMBINED WITH THIS MEDICINE. Drugs that increase the effects of this medicine include; cimetidine, diltiazem, erythromycin, itraconazole (Sporanox), ketoconazole (Nizoral), metronidazole (Flagyl), sertraline (Zoloft). The following drugs may decrease the effects of sildenafil:
carbamazepine (Tegretol)
phenytoin (Dilantin)

Missed Dose
Follow dosing instructions. This medicine is used when needed and not taken on a regular basis.
Storage
